During 2021/22 we delivered a project to explore the use of audio-visual material in a participatory space. We delivered a series of one-to one jam sessions over Zoom into a specialist dementia unit in Fife, working alongside people living in the later stages of dementia and care staff to create personalized audio-visual material. The material was developed through a series of jam sessions, where we all got together on Zoom to explore sounds, images and music. We rounded-off this project with two sessions in Orkney care homes, giving us the chance to try-out the audio-visual material in person. The videos and soundscapes gave participants a different way to engage with the session and helped to create a more immersive, engaging sensory experience.
Also during 2022, we delivered a studio project, focused on developing more audio-visual material to support care home jam sessions. This allowed us to start building a library of A-V material. This page hosts some material from both of these projects which we're keen to make freely available to stream.
